I am Rosie Alanis, the proud founder of Alanis Salon and a CombLine National Educator. With a career spanning over 25+ years in the beauty industry, my journey has been driven by a passion for education and a dedication to the art and science of hair care. As an educator, my expertise extends beyond a single technique; I am committed to advancing the craft of hair extensions, hair replacement, and holistic hair health, sharing my knowledge with both clients and professionals alike.
Alanis Salon, established in 2013, is the culmination of my decades-long experience. The salon is centrally located near Downtown, Montrose, and River Oaks. Before opening our doors, I spent over 20 years as a salon owner honing my skills, exploring innovative techniques, and understanding the profound impact of personal appearance on confidence and self-esteem. My salon is more than just a business; it is a space where artistry meets innovation, and where every client is treated with personalized care and attention.
We specialize in offering a diverse array of services, with a particular emphasis on the latest in hair extensions and hair replacement services. Meet our Team
Vanessa R Williams
Vanessa comes with over 20 years of experience working behind the chair. Staring her career as a colorist and stylist in the early 00’s in retail beauty salons, she is a titan in the industry with a myriad of influences but chose to focus on coloring and cut with Wella. As well as a broad spectrum education in multiple applications of hair extensions.
She is a brand educator for both Wella and Platinum Seamless Extensions. Her teaching style is nuanced and informative. As it should be, considering Vanessa has been using Wella since 2001 and a Wella Certified Master Color Expert since 2016 and educator since 2017. In 2019, she completed Wella Cut Craft I. Her extensions background is as vast and comprehensive as her coloring and cutting skills. She has been with Great Lengths since 2004, So.Cap in 2005 and Platinum Seamless during 2021.
Her comedic yet concise candor is why she is a heavily requested instructor for Wella.
Professionalism, product knowledge, and precision is what you get from Vanessa when you sit in her chair or in one of her classes. This is why she maintains an indelible reputation in her hometown of Houston as well as the beauty industry in total
Crystal Saldana
Crystal, a professional hair stylist has been with Alanis Salon for 6+ years. Crystal is a color and cutting specialist with a special focus on all things hair extensions including Combline, K-tips, Mago, and Micropoint Links.
“The thing I love most about my career is learning new things, especially hair extensions: Knowledge is POWER.” She is always open to new ideas & value receiving feedback.
Crystal is passionate about her family; she wakes up every day, making sure her family is healthy & happy.
She loves traveling & her favorite food is Italian. When Crystal is not in the salon, she is spending time with her family. She is an Aries: independent, bold, creative and fun!
Pamela Castillo
She has been a licensed hairstylist for 13 years. “What I love more about my career is that there is always something new to learn, opportunities for growth, and the creativity behind our craft. I also love my clients and how caring for their hair can accentuate how beautiful they already are.”

Her family is from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Pam is a native Houstonian. She loves to travel, work out, try different foods, dancing, music, art, and reading a good book.
